Production day sixteen

It was our last production day today and – despite the late nights and early mornings, the frustrations of patchy court days and the squabbles with design software – I’m really going to miss it.

Reporting has been by far and away my favourite part of the course – closely followed by my day as news editor – and I was a head office reporter today. I was lucky enough to get my second front page splash with a story from a Freedom of Information Act request.

The story should be in the South Wales Echo on Monday hopefully so I’ll link to it once it’s up. Other than that I was reporting mainly on stories which came out of the Cardiff Council meeting last night.

It’s been great fun, so excuse the short post – we’re all off for a celebratory drink.
